Northern Forests Crosstitch

Hello! I wanted to share a recent hand stitching project that I finished.

I first noticed the beautiful Northern Forests Crosstitch Pattern by Pigeon Coop Designs on Pinterest, and I quickly decided that I wanted to recreate it. I love the large setting sun and the way that the forest seems to stretch on for miles and miles in the background.

This was only my second crosstitch project ever, so I liked how simple the design was and that it doesn’t require many colors. It also contains only whole stitches, which makes things easier. I was able to get away with using only embroidery floss that I had in my stash, and I already had aida cloth, so the only cost for this project was the hoop. Score!

I’ve got several more crosstitch projects planned, I really enjoy how straightforward it is.
