Vintage Sewing Patterns!

These are so cool! A friend of mine was cleaning out a newly purchased house and these patterns she discovered found their way to me. Most of them are from the seventies but there is a few from ‘69 and even one from ‘62! A lot of the styles are long gone, but there a few timeless dress patterns sprinkled in that I would love to make. Thankfully, whoever bought these was either my size or one size bigger or smaller. Pretty much all of the patterns would fit me as is, or with a couple of adjusments to go up or down one size.

If it wasn't already clear before... I really knew I was a sewing geek when I spent my entire Sunday morning researching and cataloging these patterns :)

These patterns are from 1962 and 1963. Pretty cool.

These are some of the patterns I hope to make soon. I love the bright floral dress on the left, though I would make it knee length. The middle dress has such gorgeous detail that you don't always see on modern sewing patterns. The one on the right is such a simple dress, but I love it! The note says that the pattern was used for "Julia's bridesmaid's dress for Karen's wedding July 6, '79".

And then there were just some patterns that made me laugh- I will not be making these! Do you see the heart shaped pockets on the top on the right?!?! And yes... the models are wearing a turtleneck UNDER a fitted blouse.
